Dear Parents and Students,
Summer Study Programs has been successfully operating the highly acclaimed (New York Times, CNN and USA Today) high school pre-college summer programs on the Penn State University campus for more than two decades. Student safety and supervision has been and always will be OUR #1 PRIORITY. More than ten thousand students from all over the world have enjoyed an outstanding academic experience on our programs at Penn State in a safe and secure environment without incident.
We are all saddened by the recent allegations centered around the Penn State football team coaches and Penn State administrators. While we fully understand these negative implications temporarily tarnish the reputation of the university, the circumstances revealed have NOTHING TO DO with Summer Study Programs or the quality education that Penn State provides to tens of thousands of students each year. Additionally, Summer Study Programs has NOTHING TO DO with the Penn State football team, its staff or its facilities and in fact, operates its July and August programs when the team is not even there.
As we enter our 21st year, Summer Study Programs, the #1 pre-collegiate program, pledges to continue our rich tradition of providing the highest quality summer experiences for high school students in a supervised and controlled environment staffed by the highest quality educators and administrators in the field.
In our hearts, we know you understand our total lack of involvement in the aforementioned, but thought a policy statement from us would be both significant and appropriate at this time.
We look forward to seeing you on campus this summer.
Sincerely,

Bill Cooperman
President & Executive Director
