For nearly two decades, Summer Study Programs has been the leader in pre-college programs for high school students. Our full time staff works all year to ensure the ongoing quality of our programs. 	Mike Sirowitz, BA Director of Programs and Operations Ever since his first summer as a camp counselor (30+ years ago), Mike has dedicated his life to working with teenagers. His tremendous organizational skills, commitment to excellence and passion for what he does are the cornerstone of Summer Study programming. 	Jason Thaw, BA Director of Student Enrollment A student athlete during his college years Jason, spent most of his time traveling to tournaments throughout New England and missed out on the true “college experience.” Now with his position at Summer Study Programs, he enjoys living vicariously through the students, and is known to get in on the fun himself. His charming personality, and the care that he has for the students in the programs is apparent from the very first time you meet him. 	Jack Kelley, BA Director of Student Activities A Penn State Alum with a love for the outdoors, Jack strives to help students find their own unique summer experience. His witty humor and outgoing personality help ensure that students’ days are filled with smiles and laughter. Drawing upon his years as a certified high school Biology teacher with a passion for athletics, Jack helps students understand the importance of balancing their classes, activities and social lives, to ensure that they have the summer of a lifetime. 	Deborah Draper, BA, MA, H.Dip.Ed. Director of International Programs Having spent many years working & studying in Paris, Deborah loves nothing better than spending her summers back in this amazing city. Deborah has many years experience working with teenagers, as throughout the academic year she works as a French teacher in Ireland. Deborah finds working with young people incredibly rewarding, this is why she spends her summers as part of the Summer Study team. 	Tom Cook, BS, MS Program Coordinator After graduating from Penn State, Tom starting teaching high school just outside Philadelphia. His love for the students is evident in his teaching style and his involvement in many extra-curricular activities. Tom is an internationally recognized Ultimate Frisbee coach and has coached in multiple world championships.
